The mandarin Tardivo di Ciaculli got its name ftom the small area where it grows around Ciaculli, a small village located outside Palermo, Sicily. Also from the fact that it matures later in the season as compared to other mandarin varieties. Its unique aroma and robustness reveal a very pleasant mandarin to taste.
Mandarin is rich in vitamin C and A. Like other mandarins, they are a good source of dietary fibres and potassium. Mandarins are an important source of antioxidants such as naringenin, naringin and pectin.
