The Palmer mango originates from Miami Florida and it was grown from a seedling of Haden. This variety was propagated in 1945 and officially named in 1949. The Palmer Mango is now grown in various places including Florida, Africa and Australia.
Fibers, vitamins A, B and C as well as potassium and iron are present in important quantities in this fruit. Mangoes are also a significant source of beta carotene.
