Originally from Guangdong and Fujian provinces in China where it flourished along rivers and coastlines, Kwai-Mi lychee was introduced in Reunion Island in 1764. Thanks to the volcanic fertile soil of the island, it was soon to become among the best quality of Kwai-Mi around the world. Kwai-Mi lychee is relatively small in size, heart-shaped and have a rough red vibrant skin. Its seed is usually small and its pulp famous for being very sweet, juicy and fragrant.
